As the father of our new baby girl, i have watched our little girl develop and have learned that she is so much more different than our 3 year old son. She cry's a lot and constantly demands our attention where as my son, you could give him a bottle of milk and he would be out until the next feeding. He slept most of the time where as my daughter is awake a lot of the time. I had no idea how long a baby girl could cry and keep the tears flowing. I found out that it's longer than i expected and has constantly tested my patience. A crying baby is trying to tell you something and it's your job to figure out why and what you can do about it. When she's hungry she cry's. When someone other than my wife picks her up, she cry's. When we put her in the car seat, she cry's, When she's tired, she cry's. When she's wet, she cry's. Grrrr! Well, I'm learning to deal with it and i just have to consider the fact that she's a baby and eventually she'll move on and change. No book can ever prepare you to be a parent. You learn as you go or as they say in the real world, On the job training. "OJT" Happy parenting to all the new fathers!

I can totally relate to you. I have a two months old baby girl. She does not cry so much, only if she is hungry and sleepy but you are right no books nor advice could ever prepare you to be a parent. Only experience could teach you how. But then again each baby has their own personality, and it is our job as parent to figure it out. But as they grow up, everything will be rewarded by a little hug and I love you's from them, and all things will be forgotten. Being a parent has its ups and down :-) But it is nice and good to be one! Goodluck with the baby! She is adorable :-)
My younger daughter is 3 and she still cries a lot! hehe.. i know, yeah babies cry so much.. its a way of telling us they're hungry, sleepy, tired, bored etc.. :-)
But i must say your baby is so adorable.. god bless her :-)
