One of the things she told me was about the Walgreens and Express Script program. I don’t know anything about it but it sounds interesting after my wife explained it to me. She said that Walgreens and Express Scripts used to be affiliated but not anymore because the negotiation between two parties fell apart and the Express Scripts decides to end their contract to Walgreens. Accordingly, the patients under the Express Scripts middlemen won’t be able to purchase their prescriptions at Walgreens anymore and they were unhappy about it. Some of the patients travel afar to get their prescription where they could have gotten it to Walgreens. I must say that the Express Script is the culprit here because they didn’t want to work with the Walgreens and it causes inconvenience to a lot of patients who used Walgreens for their prescription purchases through Express Scripts plan. Because the Walgreens cared so much to their clients, they came up with this Walgreens Prescription Savings Club where members can avail the prescription savings of 8,000 brand-names and 400 generics. They are offering low annual membership fee just for this month of January, $10 annual fee for a family and $5 annual fee for individual. If you are interested you must avail it as soon as possible because if not it’ll go back to its regular fees which are $20 for individual and $35 for a family.
