Thoughts on auto insurance

In the United States, having a car is not a luxury but more on necessity. It's the major means of transportation and even those young at age, provided the means often have cars or vehicles of their own. Maintenance and insurance also goes along with it. Owning a car is synonymous with owning a car insurance policy. It can seem expensive but come to think of it, maintaining one is cheaper than not having at all. A car accident can happen anytime and those are the kind of emergency situations that can break your bank/savings if your car is not insured. I personally had my lesson on this. It may be an added expenditure paying for a monthly policy if you don't have to use it. But it will also no doubt provide back up if there's an accident. Better to be prepared than sorry of course.
