Pumpkin pie

This post brought to you by Mrs. Smith's . All opinions are 100% mine.

Have you baked some pie lately? It’s been awhile that I baked some homemade goodies for my family and I believe the last time I baked was brownies cookies that my wife and kids requested me to bake. I’m thinking of a yummy pie to bake lately and I want to try the pumpkin pie since my kids love it. I actually got a simple recipe online but before that I want to try the ready to bake pies from Mrs. Smith’s pies specifically the signature deep dish pumpkin pie with cream cheese icing very soon because it looks yummy and tasty and besides I didn’t have to worry about gathering and mixing all the ingredients because it’s already made, all I have to do is to stick it into the oven. I went to their website and I found out they have all kinds of pies that everyone loves. I’m sure those people who bought pies through their website also took advantage of using their free coupon for the holiday e-card to send some greetings to their family and friends for this holiday season. As far as I know a portion of their sales ($1 for every purchased of Mrs. Smith’s pie between the months of November ‘til December) will be donated to the Operation Homefront charity, which is for a good cause.

Anyway, I want to try their pies and I’m encouraging everyone to try their pies and e-cards too and remember you can make a difference into someone’s lives by purchasing pies at Mrs. Smith’s pies.

Welcome to the Game Wirelessly! Event featuring the PlayMG Wi-Fi Gaming System

Big thank you to our host Mom to Bed by 8 and supporting co-hosts: Iowa Mom, A Medic's World and Monica’s Rants, Raves & Reviews.

Why is the MG so different from any other Wi-Fi device - from smartphones to tablets?
The MG fills a huge void currently experienced by kids and teens who either are not old enough to have their own smartphones, or whose parents have found data plans cost prohibitive. The MG isn’t just a device, it is a system that will mean many kids and teens will finally be able to enter the world of freemium apps, and all of the abilities that come with it, while parents can safely and affordably give it to them.

MG Topline Features:
  • Built in Wi-Fi allows entry into the unlimited world of low cost and free app gaming
  • MG Family Collaboration System: includes the "DebitSmart" Digital Wallet and "Remote Trust" notification function
  • Big 4" touchscreen encased in a sleek and sturdy "pocketable" game-centric design: rounded corners and grip provide a perfect hold on the app playing experience
  • 4GB built in memory with SD port for expandable memory ability: add SD cards and download and save as many apps as desired. (This is important-even the iTouch has a fixed memory)
  • Proprietary MG Origins Avatar System: as gamers use the MG, they gain points, customize and unlock the origin story of their own personal gaming companion
  • Preloaded games and cash credit toward game purchase
  • 1.3 Megapixel Front-Facing Camera and ability to shoot and play video
  • Stereo Headset Jack

First day at the gym

This week I enrolled my wife and me into the family gym here in Chula Vista. I've been having trouble with pain in my knees every day for a very long time. We just got back from the gym for the first time since we enrolled and my wife and I did workouts on machines. I'm very happy to say that my knees seem to be getting better because they don't feel so stiff after the workout. This is a nice gym for our kids too because they have a play room that the kids can go into and play with all the toys. The kids had a lot of fun with the toys. My son Ethan wanted me to say he had fun with the toys at the gym. :-) My wife and I plan on visiting every week to get our body in shape.

She didn't know anything about it back then

I never went to college but my wife has. She told me how hard it is to be in college. She said that it was a huge transition for her when she first had her 1st semester in college compared to High school. College is more serious because our career depends on how good we were in college. I wife would tell me a story about those times when she had to do research for her major subject, I believe they call it term paper wherein they have to have respondents to be able to find the answers to their hypothetical questions. Writing term papers was just one of those hard work she did and essay writing was another challenge for her too. Unlike these days with the technology advancement anything can be achievable in just a click away. I wish my wife had known about the website http://custom-writing.org/online-essay because they offer custom writing services. They do the research study and paper works on behalf of my wife, which guarantees great and quality results. For the generations today they can easily buy paper of top quality from the best custom writing service online if they want to.

It must be so hard for my wife to do all of these at the time because she was working as library assistant at the time and had to maintain her grades to be able to keep her scholarship. She made it though and I am so proud of my wife. She graduated in College from her own sweat.

A cool venue for dads like me

This post brought to you by © Blue Shield of California. All opinions are 100% mine.

My wife had short term laryngitis few months ago because of inflammation of her vocal cords and she totally lost her voice. You can only imagine how hard it was for me and the kids to have her around us and can’t say anything. It’s a good thing that it only lasted for a few days and she regained her golden voice and we were just so glad about it. And now my son has sore throat too.
That incident just made me realize that anything can happen really and we just have to be prepared for it. So I did a little research on what better things to do in case some similar case will happen to any of the family member.

As I was browsing the web I came across with this duo Dr. Jim and Bob who provides videos to answer some inquiries about health issues. The cool thing about these guys is that they provide health information in such a manner that they also entertain. Dr. Jim and Bob's Fun & Helpful Health Advice can be found in their Facebook page Blue Shield of California. Blue Shield is non-profit company that offers easy access to alternative care, like chiropractors and acupuncture. They will also help you get access to great doctors while offering wide range of affordable health plans.  That’s something that every dads out there like me should frequent because of its educational value.

As for the sore throat of my boy, Dr. Jim and Bob really helped in easing it and he promised not to over scream in the next P.E day.
